Its not like me to be spontaneous and make a decision on the spot. Well thats what I did last week and now I’m a total stress case. I applied for my UK Visa on a whim (I know crazy). Now I’m stressed because I’m worried my visa wont be returned in time for my Christmas vacation. I know everyone can relate to being stressed at some point, and one of my ways to d-stress is to talk or write. I’ve learned a lot about myself and my character through these up and downs. My stress comes from me being too hard on myself and not achieving what I set out to do. But sometimes our goals are unrealistic. Comment away if you feel the same or need to vent or if you have any tips on how I can eliminate my stress.

they say we learn from our mistakes, but when people are hard on you about one little mistake I don’t think its much of a lesson. It becomes a guilt. I wish people would be less hard on each other and more understanding. Thought of the day. -Sarah Mel.

Cover Gigs- My Saturday night

Lately I’ve been playing a lot more cover gigs. Like all artists I rather be rocking out my own tunes than the usual covers like Summer of 69, but hey you need to play familiar songs at bar gigs. It was a fun night for Peter (keyboard player) and I, we had a great audience. But one thing about the bar gigs I can’t stand is people thinking they can come up and grab the mic. Ok first off, this isn’t karaoke, this is my job, I’m on stage to entertain you “the audience” and I have been paid by the bar to do so, please do not step on our shoes or should I say our mic cords.

We’re hitting the stage again this Friday at Georgian Downs. Casino gigs are a little different, the only annoyance is the sound of the slot machines, can hardly hear myself. So if you’re in the Barrie and Innisfil area, come on out
